    1. You all know how I feel about gay superheroes, and having read and loved Artifice, I was on board with the Young Protectors from the first panel posted online This first collection puts together the first major arcs of the story in one volume, and it s so darn pretty. The short version of the narrative is this a group of young super powered folk the Young Protectors are or less heroes in training with some restrictions placed upon them They include Red Hot who has mastery over flame , Commander [...]

    2. This was a fun, fast read I look forward to seeing from these characters It makes me think of Young Avengers and Queer as Folk in some ways It s set in a world where super heroes and super Villains are the norm The first story is about Kyle, a closeted superhero who comes across a much older super villain who wants to change his ways and woo the young superhero If you can get past the vast age difference, it becomes somewhat charming

    3. A beautifully rendered, charmingly scripted tale of superheroes with extra hidden identities I can t wait to read

    4. There s not a lot of gay comics out there that are this good, both in writing and art I love the world that this book is detailing and I just wish there were to this package s the beginning of a story and that s all I hope there s another volume soon.

    5. This was a fun, well drawn comic that I could see myself liking a lot if not for the fact that the main romance is between a 17 year old and a 58 year old, which is just not my thing The characters are intriguing, though, particularly Spooky Jones, who is a background character for most of the book but gets a short bonus comic about his backstory at the end Despite my reservations regarding the main pairing, I will probably continue reading this comic online.Edit So it turns out Young Protector [...]

    6. I read Volume One while trying out the free trial of Kindle Unlimited I don t really read superhero comics, but I was intrigued by the prominent gay couple Needless to say, I enjoyed it enough to search for , and located the webcomic. The art style is good, but not really my favourite The pacing feels a little slow at the beginning, but by the time I got to Duncan s betrayal, there was no way I could put it down I m a little ambivalent towards the side characters I very much like that the team is [...]

    7. Love comics and ebook comics rockI ve started receiving an email linking to queer books and comics and this came through My husband reads comics all the time and he s got me into them too so I couldn t resist buying this.I want the story arc is amazing it works so well Whose to say what s good and bad I love how this gets questioned, plus I want about Kyle and Duncan.

    8. I m a huge superhero fan, so when someone recommended this to me recently, I had to delve in heart first And I wasn t disappointed. Not only is the art incredible, beautiful and evocative, but the words are just as much The romance aspect melted my heart, then broke it, while the action gave me a nice reprieve to whip my emotions back into check. If you want romance, teenage geekiness, superhero action and supervillains, don t go anywhere but here This is what you ve been waiting for.

    9. Amazing collection of comic books dealing with the complicated situation of a young superhero coming out as gay and the villain who discovers him The artwork is phenomenal and the story is sensitive and exciting all at the same time Definitely a worthwhile read and a wonderful addition to LGBT comic books.

    10. I liked this Young superheroes One dealing with being a gay man Also good to note that not all the heroes are gay It s fun and great to see gay super heroes Not much action but well written, fun and beautifully drawn You can read this online, but I bought Volume one to support the indeipendint comics They also sell fun trading cards.
