    7. I just realized as I sat down to review the books I have read with my children the past three days that Eve Bunting s book In the Haunted House was illustrated by Susan Meddaugh two books with her illustrations in two days Once I noticed that both were illustrated by her, I can see some similarities in stylebut In the Haunted House is much darker and spookieris one has brighter colors and is playful A young girl named Helen dressed up as a witch and her dog dressed up as a black cat see a woman [...]

    8. This book was beyond adorable The pictures took me right back to when I was a child in the 90 s and they were so colorful and busy that you just wanted to take a few minutes to soak up each page and all the details Plus it comes with cool Halloween stickers in the back The premise was a little girl and her dog dressed as a cat went into what she thought was a supermarket to return a coupon an old lady had dropped and she wandered into something completely unexpected Well, something unexpected to [...]

    9. I just discovered this wonderful read aloud twenty years after it was printed It s Martha before she was a talking dog and Helen on a Halloween adventure. What started off as a good deed returning a dropped coupon to an old lady ends up as slightly spooky adventure to the Witches Supermarket The merchandise there deserves a twice over and than likely a thrice over as there is much to see on the imaginative and humorous spreads brooms with training wheels, cats everywhere When Helen and Martha ar [...]

    10. Have you ever wondered where witches buy all of their supplies Well, one little girl and her dog find out in this book It is a cute and clever story with detailed pictures on every page The story is a little bit long, so it would be best read to children with a longer attention span It could be read aloud or individually I really liked the main character and the fact that she is trying to help and ends up getting in trouble No good deed goes unpunished, maybe It is a fun Halloween story full of [...]
